Municipal Court

Overview
The Paradise Valley Municipal Court is the independent judicial branch of the Town government. The Judges are appointed by the Town Council. The Hearing Officers are appointed by the Presiding Judge.

The Court is a limited jurisdiction court operating within the Arizona Court System.  The Court adjudicates all criminal misdemeanors, code violations, traffic violations, and certain juvenile offenses that occurred within the Town's limits.

Upon petition to the Court, protective orders may be obtained from the Court.  The Court issues protective orders in cases of domestic violence and harassment.  The incident need not have occurred within the Town to qualify for a protective order to be issued from this Court.

If you are required to pay fines, penalties, fees or other financial obligations as a result of a judgement of this court and you are unable to pay, bring this information to the attention of court staff or the judge because payments over time or other alternatives may be available.
